1. EX TIGER TRIUMPH – 25

Exercise Tiger Triumph 2025:

• The exercise aims to enhance interoperability in HADR operations and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for efficient crisis response.
• A Combined Coordination Center (CCC) will be established for better coordination between Indian and US forces.
• India will participate with INS Jalashwa, Gharial, Mumbai, Shakti, P8I aircraft, Army and Air Force units, and the Rapid Action Medical Team (RAMT).
• The US will be represented by USS Comstock, Ralph Johnson, and US Marine Division troops.
• The Harbour Phase in Visakhapatnam (April 1-7) will include training, joint exercises, and cultural interactions.
• The Sea Phase off Kakinada will focus on Maritime, Amphibious, and HADR operations.

2. FM to launch “NITI NCAER States Economic Forum” portal on 1st April, 2025

Analysis of the news:

• The portal serves as a comprehensive repository of data on social, economic, and fiscal parameters, covering 1990-91 to 2022-23.
• It will be launched by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on April 1, 2025, in New Delhi.
• The portal has four main components:
  • State Reports – Summarizes macro and fiscal data of 28 Indian states.
  • Data Repository – Provides categorized data on demography, economic structure, fiscal, health, and education.
  • State Fiscal and Economic Dashboard – Displays key economic trends graphically.
  • Research and Commentary – Features expert research and analysis on state finances.
• It enables benchmarking of state data, tracking trends, and formulating evidence-based policies.
• The portal will serve as a research hub for policymakers, researchers, and analysts.
