1. PM congratulates new home owners in Bengaluru’s first project under SWAMIH Fund.
Topic: GS3 – urban Housing.
Context:
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulates new homeowners in Bengaluru’s first project under the SWAMIH Fund.
- Over 3,000 families have been assisted in owning their dream homes through this initiative.
About SWAMIH Fund:
- The SWAMIH (Special Window for Affordable and Mid-Income Housing) Investment Fund is a government-backed fund set up as a Category-II Alternate Investment Fund (AIF) debt fund registered with SEBI.
- The fund is sponsored by the Ministry of Finance and is managed by SBICAP Ventures Limited, an asset management company that is a wholly owned subsidiary of SBI.
- The SWAMIH Fund aims to provide financing to enable completion of stalled housing projects that are:
- Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act (RERA)-registered
- In the affordable housing / mid-income category
- Networth positive
- Require last mile funding to complete construction
- The SWAMIH Fund has been a key player in the government’s efforts to revive the stalled housing sector. It has helped to provide much-needed funding to projects that were otherwise on the verge of collapse, and has ensured that thousands of homebuyers will finally be able to get their homes.

2. DoT Launches Bharat 6G Alliance to Drive Innovation and Collaboration in Next-Generation Wireless Technology
Topic: GS3 – Science and technology.
Context:
- The telecom sector is continuously evolving, with a shift from wireline to mobile services, and advancements from 2G to 3G, 4G, and now 5G, with 6G on the horizon.
- In this light, The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has introduced the Bharat 6G Alliance with the aim of fostering innovation and cooperation in the field of next-generation wireless technology.
About 6G Technology:
- 6G technology refers to the next generation of wireless technology that will succeed 5G. It is expected to provide even faster speeds, lower latency, higher capacity, and enable advanced applications and services.
- 6G aims to revolutionize various industries by facilitating technologies such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, augmented reality, holographic communication, and more.
- It is still in the early stages of research and development, with global efforts underway to define its technical specifications and potential use cases.
- The introduction of 6G is expected to further transform the digital landscape and drive new innovations and possibilities.

3. Mission Karmayogi aimed to train officers for the priorities of Amrit Kaal
Topic: GS2 – Government initiatives.
Context:
- Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh highlights the launch of Mission Karmayogi and Mid-Career Training programs under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
- These programs aim to train officers for the priorities of Amrit Kaal (critical period) and equip them to contribute to the self-reliant India (Atmanirbhar Bharat) initiative.
More information about Mission Karmayogi:
- Mission Karmayogi is a National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB) launched by the Government of India in September 2020.
- The programme aims to build a future-ready civil service with the right attitude, skills, and knowledge, aligned to the vision of New India.
- The Mission has six pillars:
- Policy Framework:The Mission will develop a comprehensive policy framework for civil service capacity building, which will be aligned to the national development priorities.
- Institutional Framework:The Mission will establish a credible and autonomous institutional framework for civil service capacity building. This framework will comprise of a National Centre for Civil Service Capacity Building (NCCCB), which will be responsible for developing and implementing the Mission’s overall strategy, and a network of State Centres for Civil Service Capacity Building (SCCSCBs), which will be responsible for implementing the Mission’s activities at the state level.
- Competency Framework:The Mission will develop a competency framework for civil servants, which will define the knowledge, skills, and abilities that civil servants need to have in order to effectively discharge their duties.
- Digital Learning Framework:The Mission will develop a digital learning framework for civil servants, which will provide them with access to high-quality online learning resources.
- e-HRMS:The Mission will develop an e-HRMS (electronic Human Resource Management System) for civil servants, which will help to manage their career progression and development.
- Monitoring and Evaluation Framework: The Mission will develop a monitoring and evaluation framework, which will be used to track the progress of the Mission and assess its impact.
- The Mission is expected to transform the civil service in India and make it more responsive, efficient, and effective in delivering public services. It is also expected to help to build a more just and equitable society by ensuring that all citizens have access to quality public services.

4. National Anti-Doping Agency, India (NADA India) signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with South Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organization (SARADO) in New Delhi

Context:
- Shri Anurag Thakur, Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports, highlights India’s increasing contributions to the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and UNESCO International Convention Against Doping in Sport.
- NADA India signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SARADO, comprising Anti-Doping Organizations of Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, to increase regional cooperation in anti-doping in sports.

- The National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) is India’s national organization responsible for promoting, coordinating, and monitoring the doping control program in sports in all its forms. It was established in 2005 as a registered society under the Societies Registration Act of 1860.
- NADA is responsible for implementing the World Anti-Doping Code (WADC) in India.
- This includes carrying out doping controls, investigating doping cases, and imposing sanctions on athletes who violate the WADC. NADA also works to raise awareness of doping among athletes, coaches, and sports officials.
- NADA has a number of key functions, including:
- Providing education and awareness about doping:NADA works to raise awareness of doping among athletes, coaches, and sports officials. It does this through a variety of channels, including workshops, seminars, and publications.
- Carrying out doping controls: NADA is responsible for carrying out doping controls on athletes in India. This includes in-competition and out-of-competition testing.
- Investigating doping cases:NADA investigates doping cases that are reported to it. This includes gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and making a decision on whether or not an athlete has violated the WADC.
- Imposing sanctions on doping violators:If an athlete is found to have violated the WADC, NADA may impose sanctions on them. These sanctions can include a range of penalties, such as suspension from competition, fines, and the loss of medals.
- NADA is a member of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and is accredited by WADA to carry out doping controls. NADA is also a member of the South Asian Regional Anti-Doping Organization (SARADO).
- NADA has made significant progress in its fight against doping in India. NADA has also worked to raise awareness of doping among athletes and sports officials. As a result of these efforts, doping in India is on the decline.
