1. Launch of DSC A 20, first ship of 05 x Diving support craft (DSC) project:
- Titagarh Rail Systems Limited (TRSL) launched the first diving support craft for the Indian Navy at its shipyard in Titagarh.
- TRSL is five such vessels for the Indian Navy.
- The Diving support craft is equipped with advanced technology capabilities to facilitate diving operations, cutting-edge diving apparatus and tools.
- The DSC is a massive boost to the Capabilities of the Indian Navy, and it will help to maintain an edge in the maritime domain. It is also a significant achievement for the Indian Shipbuilding industry and demonstrates the country’s growing self-reliance in the defence sector.
- These ships are indigenously designed and built under relevant Naval Rules and Regulations of the Indian Register of Shipping (IRS).
- These ships are proud flag bearers of Make-In-India(MII) & Make for the World initiatives of the government of India, Ministry of Defence.
2. PM pays tributes to Shree Narayan Guru on his 167th Jayanti:
About Shree Narayan Guru:
- Shree Narayan, a guru born in the 19th century in Kerala, was a social reformer who led a reform movement against casteism. He promoted new values of social equality and spiritual freedom.
- He emphasized women’s empowerment and harnessed youth power for social change.
- His famous quote was one caste, one religion, and one god for all men.
3. Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare(M/o A&FW), in partnership with FICCI, CII & PHDCCI, organizes a National Conclave.
About the Conclave:
- This conclave will unleash the potential of Agri-tech startups for the benefit of farmers.
- It aims to discuss and identify comprehensive support systems for Agri Startups, fostering innovation, Sustainability, and profitability and making their solutions accessible to farmers.
- It will also explore strategies to overcome challenges, leverage technology and capitalize on market opportunities to empower Agri Startups.
