Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar emphasizes that government jobs are now about service, good governance, and welfare of the poor.

Prime Minister conceptualized the Rozgar Melas, which were held at 43 locations across the country.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar inaugurated an IoT lab College of Engineering and Technology in collaboration with Intel.

2. PLI Schemes contribute to increase in production, employment generation, and economic growth.

The Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Schemes have resulted in a 76% increase in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the manufacturing sector.

The value addition in mobile manufacturing in India has reached 20% within a span of 3 years, a significant achievement.

PLI Schemes have transformed India’s exports basket from traditional commodities to high-value-added products.

So far, 733 applications have been approved in 14 sectors, with an expected investment of Rs. 3.65 lakh crore.

The PLI Scheme for Food Processing has positively impacted the income of Indian farmers and MSMEs.

The schemes have led to the localization of smartphone manufacturing, an increase in women employment, and a boost in the electronics sector.

India has achieved import substitution of 60% in the Telecom sector and has become self-reliant in Antennae, GPON, and CPE.

The Drones sector has seen a sevenfold increase in turnover due to the PLI Scheme.

The Pharma sector has experienced a reduction in imports of raw materials, and the manufacturing of unique intermediate materials and bulk drugs has taken place in India.

The PLI Schemes have facilitated technology transfer in the manufacturing of Medical Devices.

3.Ministry’s inclusive initiatives are transforming lives and empowering marginalized communities

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has launched the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) to raise awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse, with a focus on educational institutions and communities.

NMBA is being implemented in 372 identified vulnerable districts.
-
The campaign involves various stakeholders, including youth, women, children, educational institutions, civil society, and the community at large.
-
The achievements of NMBA include sensitizing over 9.91 crore people, including 3.22 crore youth and 2.14 crore women, to substance use.
-
Over 3.18 lakh educational institutions have participated in spreading the message of NMBA.
-
The campaign utilizes social media platforms, a mobile application, and a website to reach and engage with people.
-
A national online pledge to be drug-free received participation from 1.67 crore students from 99,595 educational institutions.
-
The national de-addiction helpline ‘14446’ provides counseling and referral services, with over 2.8 lakh calls received so far.
-
There has been a 37% increase in people seeking counseling and de-addiction services since the launch of NMBA.
-
The Ministry seeks the support of everyone in spreading the message of the harmful effects of substance abuse and staying away from such substances.
