Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme:
- An outlay of Rs. 1.97 lakh crore allocated for 14 key sectors.
- 746 applications approved by November 2023.
- Over Rs. 95,000 crore investment reported, leading to production/sales of Rs. 7.80 lakh crore.
- Employment generation of over 6.4 lakh and export boost of Rs. 3.20 lakh crore.
- Mobile manufacturing sees 20% value addition in 3 years.
- Import substitution of 60% achieved in Telecom sector.
- 7 times jump in turnover in the Drones sector.
Startup India Initiative:
- Over 1,14,000 startups recognized, creating more than 12 lakh jobs.
- 10,229 crore committed to 129 Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs).
- 17,272 crore invested by AIFs in 915 startups.
- Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) approves Rs. 747 crore to 192 incubators.
- Credit Guarantee Scheme for Startups (CGSS) operationalized on April 1, 2023.
Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC):
- 3 million transactions in November 2023 across 600+ cities.
- 3 Lakh+ sellers and service providers active on the ONDC network.
- Mobility through ONDC live in Bengaluru, Mysuru, Kochi, and Kolkata.
- 3000 Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) and 400 Self-Help Groups (SHGs) onboarded.
One District One Product (ODOP):
- More than 1,200 products identified across 767 districts.
- Ekta/Unity Malls in 17 States approved with a total outlay of Rs. 2944 Cr.
Ease of Doing Business and Compliance Reduction:
- Over 3,600 compliances decriminalized and 41,000 reduced.
- Index of Industrial Production expands by 6.9% during Apr-Oct 2023.
- Index of Eight Core Industries registers robust growth of 8.6% during Apr-Oct 2023.
- Number of Patents granted witnesses eight-fold growth from 2014-15 to 2023-24.
Make in India 2.0:
- Focus on 27 sectors to make India a Manufacturing Hub.
- DPIIT coordinating Action Plans for 15 manufacturing sectors.
- Make in India 2.0 emphasizes boosting growth in 24 sub-sectors.
PM GatiShakti National Master Plan:
- 123 big-ticket infrastructure projects examined, worth Rs. 12.08 lakh crores.
- PM GatiShakti National Master Plan has 1463 data layers involving 39 Central Ministries and 36 States/UTs.
Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP):
- Successfully integrates with 35 systems of 08 Ministries.
- Over 125 private companies sign NDA for supply chain visibility.
- GST data integration for end-to-end multimodal tracking of cargo.
Logistics Ease Across Different States (LEADS):
- 5th edition of LEADS annual exercise reports released in December 2023.
National Logistics Policy (NLP):
- Significant progress made in achieving NLP targets.
- 23 States have notified their respective State Logistics policies.
Foreign Direct Investment (FDI):
- India retains attractiveness for FDI, with USD 33 billion reported in FY 2023-24 (up to September 2023).
- FDI inflow in the last 9 financial years (2014-23: USD 596 billion) increases by 100% over the previous 9 years.
- FDI equity inflow in manufacturing sectors increases by 55%.
Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Strengthening:
- India’s rank in the Global Innovation Index improves to 40th in 2023.
- Number of Patents granted witnesses eight-fold growth from 2014-15 to 2023-24.
- Number of Designs registered records a two-fold increase.
Industrial Performance:
- Index of Industrial Production expands by 6.9% during Apr-Oct 2023-24.
- Index of Eight Core Industries registers robust growth of 8.6% during Apr-Oct 2023.
2. Raksha Mantri commissions stealth guided missile destroyer INS Imphal in Mumbai; Terms it as a symbol of ‘Aatmanirbharta’ in defence.
